Our Story
Second Flight was founded in 2022 around the belief that great business owners care about their people, community, and legacy in addition to a financial return.
The idea took root many years earlier in a conversation with a Dayton business owner. Decades after acquiring his business with the intent to preserve local jobs, he expressed the sentiment that, "At the end of my career, what I care about now is that my people are cared for long into the future."
We've since found that many business owners feel the same way. After spending decades building something meaningful, they want more than a transaction. They want to know that their customers will be served, their employees will be respected, and their community will continue to benefit from a thriving business.
Second Flight exists to solve this challenge for business owners within 200 miles of Dayton. We steward businesses so that our employees and communities continue to thrive for generations.
